I purchased these foot sensors from Ali Express in 2022 and haven’t had a chance to play around with them until now. Assuming they were pressure sensors I wired up a Teensy LC on a breadboard for an analogue resister hoping to see what response it gave me.

It gave me smoke!

I then tested the continuity with a multimeter and realised that the strips were not variable resisters but rather act as switches between on and off.

I will now need to reevaluate how I can use these sensors. Perhaps this limitation will lead to different ideas.
